Most small and medium-sized software producers develop small- and medium-scale systems and projects.
In this project, I will try to establish whether bespoke software built from the ground up can offer architectural advantages comparable to those of the leading CMSs on the market.
The application’s functionality will be very limited. Only a small number of components, modules and application functions will be implemented.
When I compare the advantages of software developed in-house with those of the leading market products, I mean their main architectural advantages:
What software should a developer of web-based systems use as the foundation for their projects?
If the principal architectural advantages shared by existing CMSs can be combined in an in-house product that supports almost all the projects a small or medium-sized software producer might undertake, the result could be a powerful, adaptable tool for growing the organisation.
